Finally I received my Window Live Mail Beta invitation, I’d been wanting to try Windows Live Mail for a while now. I signed up for beta over a month ago. Yesterday, finally, I received an invite. Cool.
What are my first thoughts? It’s pretty good. Why only “Pretty Good?†It’s still just e-mail - nothing revolutionary. Windows Live Mail looks like a consumer version of Outlook Web Access, a web based e-mail application that’s part of Microsoft Exchange. There’s a lot in Windows Live Mail that should be standard with any web based e-mail application. However, I should also say that it’s a much more powerful platform than Hotmail. Faster and the interface is much better, even uploading the attachments is faster which is nice. Microsoft has previously announced that the Live Mail will be replacing Hotmail as soon as they finish all testing.
