Windows Live Mail

04.06.06

Finally I received my Window Live Mail Beta invitation, I’d been wanting to try Windows Live Mail for a while now. I signed up for beta over a month ago. Yesterday, finally, I received an invite. Cool.

What are my first thoughts? It’s pretty good. Why only “Pretty Good?” It’s still just e-mail - nothing revolutionary. Windows Live Mail looks like a consumer version of Outlook Web Access, a web based e-mail application that’s part of Microsoft Exchange. There’s a lot in Windows Live Mail that should be standard with any web based e-mail application. However, I should also say that it’s a much more powerful platform than Hotmail. Faster and the interface is much better, even uploading the attachments is faster which is nice. Microsoft has previously announced that the Live Mail will be replacing Hotmail as soon as they finish all testing.

Thanks Rami for your post. I am using the Windows live Mail Beta since August 2005. Its good but so slow. Have you noticed that? Indeed, up to now there is no search option, which is ridiculous. I think Gmail is faster & will stay more popular.

I have a question:How could you take a photo for the current view of windows?

You can do that by pressing PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard of the screen you want saved, and opening any graphic editor application such as Paint, then using the Edit menu, select Paste then simply just Save.

Thank you.

Windows Live trash is sick, It’s a copy of Google ..!!

YAZEED,I LOVE YOU MAN.

i’m using it now and i think it horrible.. is there anyway that i can change my settings back to the normal one??

Go to your options, then

Choose inbox layout: Windows Live Mail Experience or Classic Hotmail View
Select whether to use the Windows Live Mail Experience or the Classic Hotmail view. Classic Hotmail will work better for people who use screen readers.
